Ayrton Senna was born Ayrton Senna da Silva on 21 March 1960 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He began his racing career at an early age when he usurped the go kart that he gave his sister
Viviane. In 1973, at the age of thirteen, he began entering karting competition and was only seventeen years old when he won the
