When I first looked at internet marketing as a career choice, I got caught up in any offers that promised instant success. Program after program, said he had a "magic button" or fool-proof process to earn tens of thousands of dollars in twenty-four hours just to click the mouse. Each sounded better than the last, and of course I was sure that one was going to make me rich. I, like many others, got caught in a "pie in the sky," do it for me, sucker mentality that always led to disappointment and discouragement.
Another major distraction is information overload. Each piece of information available, I downloaded. Different strategies, methods, ideas, various gurus claiming that their system is the most used today. All made sense and was feasible, but we use it, or should I just try them all just in case. My mind was awhirl and I began to start to doubt myself and my decisions. I developed these eight false beliefs that stopped me in my tracks. You may refer to themselves as well.
1 I'm not confident / smart enough to even start the business.
2nd I'll make some money first then start the job.
3rd I need to make money fast and build a business is slow.
4th I can not run a business because I can not afford or outsource.
5th I have a full-time, so I do not have time to build a business.
6th I'll think about my business after I chose my niche blog got started, built my list, etc.
7th One day someone will give me a fool proof way of turning the computer on the ATM.
8th The right tactics can make me rich.
and finally snapped out of it and realized that the only way I was going to make any money and succeed online was to come up with a strategy for implementation. I needed to make it easy. One formula, one system. I had to ignore all the "great magic button" out there and get over my obsession with finding more and more tactics ("how"), and start mastering a strategy ("what"). I am much more focused when I apply the steps to my strategy of memory to keep it simple so as not to become overwhelmed with it all. Internet marketing does not have to be complicated, if you have a simple system to follow.
