Catering - a Growth Industry in Busy Times

the world 'hospitality' is now very far from simple sandwiches to office staff, or occasionally directed by lunch.

There are literally hundreds of thousands of hospitality businesses throughout the UK. Some small companies provide mobile catering solutions, perhaps for small public events such as fetes or open days. Others are multi-million pound businesses that specialize in catering to the country's most high profile parties and occasions.

The meals are not just about food any more. In fact many of today's hospitality businesses also provide drinks, decorations, and even entertainment as part of their products. More than just party planners, caterers, companies such as creating or "rhubarb", also were involved in the retail pie too - running restaurants and bars, as well as event catering arm.

Catering consultants are relatively new phenomena. Catering consultants (such as Merrit-Harrison and Turpin Smale) the person or organization whose only job is to help other companies in its food and beverage arena. In the upcoming 2012 Olympics in London, for example, it will be great demand for good hospitality consultants. They will be responsible for helping businesses to perfect their art and entertainment corporate clients for the Olympic period. Many restaurant consultants are already busy helping hotels and restaurants to create, improve or simply to improve their products in the run up to the game. Neka's face it - this will be the one of the busiest times and hospitality event in the UK has even seen so much money to be made by taking the laws!
